This is not the first time that graphene batteries are coming into use. Companies like Panasonic have been using graphene technology for their products before. Korea revealed the transparent graphene memory module as well. Samsung is making its way into graphene batteries to have easy-going displays. Till now, the fastest Samsung’s 45W charger came up with Galaxy Note 10. It can charge Note 10 in just one hour. However, this claim of Samsung is still to be tested. Blass, in his tweet, said
Graphene vs Silicon Battery
This new technology involves one carbon atoms layer from graphite. This layer is called graphene. It is 100 times more productive than copper in terms of electrical conductivity. It also shifts energy, probably, 140 times faster as compared to silicon. Lithium-ion batteries are dependent on Silicon. It also serves as the best material to power batteries. Samsung told about these details back in 2017.
Charging Time Span
Till now, there are no further details about battery life with graphene battery. Smartphones, other than Samsung as well, need to charge on a daily basis to provide maximum functionality. Usually, batteries more than 4000mAH can take 2 days to drain off completely. The major issue which contributes to this problem is the running of applications in the background. Anyhow, the final product has to be launched. We will keep you updated in this regard.
